This Queen Creek, AZ backyard has linear fire troughs that run along the side of the pool, with sheer descents spilling off the face into the water below. Blue glass mosaic tile catches the light where the water lands. The pool itself is squared off, with a sun shelf deep enough for lounge chairs and umbrellas. Travertine decking, turf strips and open desert past the wall keep the rest of it simple.
