This Noche De Paz backyard in Queen Creek is the largest kind of build we do, a resort laid out across the whole lot with a different reason to be in it at every hour of the day.
The pool is a big rectangle with an artificial rock grotto anchoring one end, carrying a waterfall over a cave and a rock slide down into the deep end. A swim-up bar with in-water stools sits under the covered structure, so you can move from open water into the shade without leaving the pool.
That structure is a full pergola with stone columns and exposed wood beams, built around an outdoor, mounted TV. Off the deck, an L-shaped built-in bench wraps a linear stacked stone gas fire pit, and past the turf there is a full sand volleyball court.
Finishes lean warm and textured throughout: travertine underfoot, stacked stone at the fire features, and a blue-green glass mosaic at the waterline that picks up the tone of the grotto rock.
