This Brooks Farm Road backyard in Queen Creek was designed around a single clean line: a long rectangular pool that runs the width of the yard and pulls the eye straight back from the house.
The raised spa sits at the center, finished in deep blue glass mosaic tile and spilling into the pool across a wide sheer descent. Laminar jets arc over the water from both decks, and a broad set of entry steps with lit risers brings you into the shallow end.
Travertine decking wraps the pool on all sides, wide enough for loungers without crowding the swim lanes. LED lighting in the pool and along the steps carries the yard well past sunset, when the water shifts from turquoise to deep blue.
The rest of the yard was kept deliberately simple, turf and clean block walls and open space, so the pool and its water features stay the focus.
