This Barrow Drive backyard in Chandler was built as a full outdoor living conversion, turning a wide courtyard into a space the family can use in every season.

The freeform pool wraps around the covered patio, anchored by a raised round spa finished in dark iridescent glass tile that spills back into the main body of water. Travertine decking runs the length of the yard, and layered LED lighting keeps the water and the stonework glowing well after sunset.

Entertaining happens under the covered pergola, where a stone-clad fireplace sits below a mounted TV, alongside a built-in grill and a pizza oven. Past the deck, a full turf lawn and a putting green give the yard a second life beyond the water.

Finishes were chosen to sit quietly against the home: warm travertine underfoot, stacked stone at the fireplace, and a spa tile that shifts between bronze and blue depending on the light.
