This Emperor Boulevard backyard in Queen Creek turned a long, narrow lot into two distinct zones: water at one end, lawn at the other, with nothing wasted in between.
The pool is rectangular with a stepped notch that widens the shallow end into a Baja shelf. At the far side, a raised feature wall faced in blue glass tile carries a wide sheer descent, flanked by stacked stone piers and a run of cascading floating steps that cross the pool.
Travertine decking runs tight to the water and opens into a full turf lawn set with oversized stepping pads. String lights cross overhead, and planters line the pool edge to soften the block walls.
The material palette stays deliberately narrow, light travertine and white stacked stone and blue tile, so the water feature reads as the single strong gesture in the yard.
